J. Scott Nelson
Founder, President & CEO
Scott is the chief architect of Trax Technologies FPS system and has been developing transportation management systems for over 22 years. During this time, he has served in consulting, systems development management, and senior business management positions. He possesses a unique background that blends development of technology with transportation and financial business experience. During his career, he has served as the CIO for a third-party logistics company and as a Senior Partner for a transportation technology consulting and service company. He founded File Express, an Electronic Commerce software development firm, and Trax Technologies, a freight payment services company. He is nationally recognized as a pioneer in automated freight processing and distributed management information systems.
Steven Westberg
Chief Financial Officer
Steven is an operationally-oriented CFO with nearly 30 years of broad financial leadership experience with companies ranging in size from startups to a multi-billion dollar holding company. He has been CFO at two publicly-traded companies: 180 Connect (a $400 million company sold to DirecTV in 2008) and Midway Airlines (a $300 million regional airline, which he took public through an IPO), and VP Finance at Continental Airlines and Independence Air. Steven earned an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
Alan Chute
Executive Vice President & General Manager - Americas
Alan's professional background spans over 25 years and includes leadership roles in product design and management, solutions engineering, systems integration, and business process startup and deployment during his 15 years with Trax. His previous experience includes leadership roles in financial and supply chain management at General Electric and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has specific experience in transportation process improvement and automation as the Manager of Freight Administration at Digital, and in developing and managing global financial reporting systems in Corporate Finance at Digital. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), an MBA, and a graduate of General Electric's Financial Management Program (FMP). Alan joined Trax in 1994.
Mark Van Dyke
Vice President & General Manager - APAC
Mark Van Dyke serves as Trax Technologies' Global Vice President of Development and IT as well as the President and General Manager of Trax APAC. Prior to joining Trax in 2008, Mr. Van Dyke spent 30 years with Lexmark and IBM where he served in roles such as Global Manager Research & Development, Director of Software Development, Area Manager of Consumer Products, Manager of Asian Software Development World Wide Business, Product Manager of Laser Printer Software, Chief Architect, Software Engineer and Associate Hardware Engineer. Mark brings senior level management on a global scale and has the expertise to help Trax in their continuous improvement strategy. Mark is a graduate from the University of Tennessee where he holds a BS in Electrical Engineering.
David Henderson
Vice President & General Manager - EMEA
David has over 22 years of experience in finance, international operational review, information technology and supply chain cost management. David is a qualified chartered accountant and has worked internationally for Price Waterhouse, The Coca-Cola Company, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation in a variety of roles covering operational review, finance, logistics and general management. He has vast experience in international business, having worked in Europe, South America, Africa and the USA. David has a joint BA degree in computer science and accountancy from Herriot-Watt University, Scotland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. David joined Trax in 2000.
Stephanie Richelieu Stagger
Vice President Global Sales, Product & Marketing
Stephanie has spent the last 10+ years developing and promoting the benefits of SaaS solutions for global supply chain management, trade and finance. She joined Trax in July 2009 from TradeBeam where she held various senior executive positions including leading global sales, business development, professional services and EMEA operations. She became intrigued with the tremendous potential of SaaS solutions geared toward the facilitation of global trade management based on her previous 9 years working first as a consultant to N. American companies expanding operations in Europe and subsequently while leading international sales and corporate development at a Fortune 500 technology distributor. Stephanie holds a MBA in International Management from Thunderbird and a dual Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of New Hampshire.
Bill Baird
Vice President - Product Development & IT
Bill's leadership in software development spans over 25 years, including work at Unisys Corporation and File Express. He has extensive experience designing and developing systems for supply chain automation. He is primarily responsible for the development of Trax Technologies proprietary rules engine and atomization technology which powers much of the company's software. Bill joined Trax in 1993.
Rick Adler
General Manager - Costa Rica
Rick has over 30 years of business experience as an executive and manager in transportation and logistics, supply chain, operations, training and development, sales and marketing, and as a coach. Prior to joining Trax Technology he was the Operation Manager for The Data Entry Pros and Founder of New Summits Coaching. His journey also includes a variety of leadership positions in corporate settings with Intrawest LLC, Mars Incorporated, and The Limited Brands as well as non-profit boards and a number of startup organizations. He possesses a unique combination of operational experience, system integration, and six sigma project experience. Rick has MBA from Franklin University and undergraduate degree in Production and Operations Management from The Ohio State University.
